Still looking to buy the perfect gift for a loved one, boss, or secret santa? I've got a suggestion that will please a "foodie" or anyone that appreciates a thoughtful gift. DiCamillo bakery has been making delicious hearth baked breads, cookies, cakes, and everything else in between in Niagara Falls for close to 100 years. A daily trip to this place is not unusual for its residents. I grew up with their bread on the dinner table every day. When I was in high school a friend of mine worked there and closing time meant free doughnuts and pizza to quell the munchies I'd worked up.
It wasn't until I was in Miami, wandering through Epicure, a gourmet food store on South Beach, that I realized DiCamillo Bakery had made a name for itself outside Niagara Falls. At an inflated price I could buy their biscotti and wine cookies right there on Miami Beach. In New York I've seen their products at Dean & DeLuca, Macy's, and coffee shops in the Village. It appears that the younger DiCamillo family members had a knack for marketing and got their products on shelves at the most respected shops.
Realizing that not everyone lives in NY and wants to pay the extra money to buy at a fancy food shop, I figure that buying online is the easiest and cheapest way to go. Click here to download their seasonal catalogue.
